Desperate, Biden-Harris Administration Trade American Small Businesses for Votes

The White House doubles down on failing Electric Vehicle Program; Risks over three hundred thousand automotive industry jobs

ARLINGTON, VA—Yesterday the Biden-Harris Administration announced federal grants totaling $1.7 billion to the auto industry to support the Administration’s faltering industrial policy that forces all Americans into electric vehicles (EV). The grants target union workers in states the Biden-Harris campaign must win in November.

The Biden-Harris Administration claims that EV grants will create thousands of manufacturing jobs. However, the Administration’s existing ban on gas-powered cars will wipe out nearly a third of the $337 billion specialty automotive aftermarket parts industry and over three hundred thousand existing jobs.

“Union autoworkers should be wary of hollow Biden-Harris election year promises. The Administration committed $7.5 billion to build charging stations resulting in only seven new stations in the past three years,” said Scot Crockett, DFA Spokesman.

Dealer lots are full of EVs they can’t sell. Major auto manufacturers are walking back EV production commitments.

“Doubling down on a failing industrial policy, forcing everyone into cars they don’t want, risking American jobs and American small businesses is irresponsible,” said Crockett.
